The 12th Annual Cards and Games Party

The Friends of the Arts’ (“FOTA”) 12 annual cards and games party was held recently at Broadneck Evangelical Presbyterian Church. The event raised $4,530 that will be applied to the FOTA Scholar Program, now in its sixth year. Dinah Little was the Chair for this event. The committee included: Gail Olmstead; Doris Gomoljak; Jeanne Shaw; Ellenor Alvarez; Pat Brooks; Annette Uroskie; and Aileen Thomas.

FOTA thanks the following for their generous contributions: Applebee's Grill & Bar; Deep Creek Restaurant; Freda Gandy; Jalapeños Restaurant; Kilarney House; Lures Bar & Grille; O'Loughlin's Restaurant and Pub; PF Chang's Chinese Restaurant; Port Tack, Ltd Wines & Spirits; Potbelly Sandwich Shop; Scotlaur Inn B&B; Chick & Ruth's Deli; Arlene Walsh; and all of the Friends of the Arts Members who made donations.
Upcoming FOTA events will include a May 12, 2015 bus trip to Washington, D.C. to view outdoor sculptures. By popular demand, Friend and artist Freda Gandy will lead this trip for the second time.

FOTA meetings and trips are on the second Tuesday from September through June. We invite anyone who would like to join or to learn more about trips or membership to contact Membership Secretary, Aileen Thomas at 410 266-8784, or e-mail Friendsofthearts@excite.com.

Friends and Greeters Sheila Perry and Freda Gandy (both of Annapolis) welcomed guests.

Scarf and purse sales were no doubt good because of this group of Friends: Vice-President Joan Machinchick; Treasurer Annette Uroskie; Friend Nancy Bennett; and Friend Joan Dreissen.
